Presidential Picks

Posted by TheJOTUS on March 24, 2009

As we all know, last week the president took time out of his busy schedule to fill out an NCAA bracket.  Ahhh, his busy, busy schedule.  It has been nearly two months now and he still has 17 of 18 Senate-confirming, senior nominations to the Treasury.  You would think that would be important in the economy we are in.  You know, the economy he takes so seriously.

Hell, even Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski suggests he might want to focus a little more on his job rather than the brackets.  But then again, perhaps that is why Coach K is successful at his job.  But I digress…

You can definitely put this one in the “What if Bush did it” file.  I don’t doubt Bush filled out a bracket or two.  But W probably did it while sitting in bed at night, on the shitter or perhaps even at lunch.   Maybe all three, who knows.  Although, I think he was more like most in that he waited until the last minute and slapped one together in about 2 minutes.

But not the stuttering handjay that is our president.  Nope, he slaps on a presidential seal and calls ESPN.  Watch him as he goes round by round.  What a jabroni.  Classic quote:

I can’t stay up until 2 in the morning, I have work to do.

Awesome.  You can’t make that up folks.

So how is the most basketball savvy president evahhhh doing in his bracket?  At least the one he felt most comfortable with filling out on ESPN?  How about 33 of 48.  Nice job Barry!

33 of 48 will earn you a cool spot at 59 out of 63 in my office pool (Incidentally, none of the brackets in my office pool were profiled on ESPN)!

So basically, not much better than what he has done since being elected.

The Man…errr…Machine Behind The Curtain?

Posted by TheJOTUS on March 20, 2009

Apparently Obama’s teleprompter has had enough and wants to show who really runs the operation.  This is pretty much hilarious on its own, so not much for me to add.

Actually, there isn’t much that is funny about this president at all…except perhaps the official seal!!!!

Democracy Versus Republic

A rather interesting explanation of our form of government.  Kind of long, but I think worth the time:

Sick Hiatus

Posted by TheJOTUS on March 7, 2009

So, it has been a while since my last post.  The past couple of weeks have been tough.  I was sick, and then the wife got sick.  And she was sick for almost two weeks, so that basically made me a single dad during that period of time.  I believe my quota has been filled on SpongeBob Square Pants and video games.  Actually, I could probably squeeze more video games in.

Obviously I am behind on quite a few blog topics, so I will start off slow with a couple of good reads for you:

Here, Ann Coulter has a fantastic piece on how much of a douche bag Keith Olberman is.  Now, Ann has been getting some bad press on this but I think she is dead on.  For one, Olberman is a douche bag.

Second, Olbermann makes his money on picking the white out of the chicken shit with petty distinctions like where people attended college.  All the while, he is lying by telling you he went to a selective and prestigious school.  When it’s pointed out he actually did not attend a particularly selective or prestigious college, suddenly he wants to play the “we’re all equals here” card.

Reason #1,237 why Keith Olberman is a complete douche bag.  Where was Keith’s spirit of equality when he was lobbing bombs at people who went to “Religious Lunatic University”?

The line Ann allegedly crossed was she bashed on someone who attended a lesser college.  This isn’t the case at all.  What she was doing is pointing out that Olberman is a fraud and a liar.  And it stings.

Of course, if you don’t want to take Chairman Ann’s word on what douche bag level Keith Olberman is on, well, you can read Olberman’s response to Ann.

Um, riiiiiight Keith.  That was exactly why I didn’t go to Princeton or Harvard or Brown–the cost.  Loser.

And if those two pieces weren’t enough to wet the palate, you can always check out my buddy zulubuff.  Not nearly as sexy as Ann, and not nearly as charming or ruggedly handsome as myself.  But a good fill-in to yours truly.
