Random Friday After Thanksgiving Nuggets Of Potpourri

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 27, 2009

Nugget One:
As I was clicking through some archived stuff over at Newsbusters, I came across this bit where apparently they have their panties in a wad regarding a sex toy being advertised in prime time:

It’s hard enough watching television with your kids these days given all the Viagra and Cialis commercials, but are we now going to have to put up with ads for sex toys?

Trojan’s vibrating fingertip massager for women has been around for over a year, as has the commercial for it.

However, I didn’t expect it to appear in the middle of CMT’s prime time airing of “Field of Dreams” Monday night.

The commercial for the massager is at the link, but I have seen it several times on TV.¬† Seems¬†rather tame to me, I mean it’s not like they are showing how the thing works.¬† But then again the boy is 6 and the commercials on Cartoon Network/Boomerang aren’t a big concern to me.¬† And I‚Äôm certainly a lot less offended with this commercial than I am with the constant parade of cock hardening commercials you see during nightly network¬†television. ¬†Offended isn’t the right word.¬† Sick and tired is probably more like it.¬†¬† I mean is there a man over 50 who doesn’t know there is a pill out there to help in the boner department?

Maybe Trojan’s ads should be shown after 10 p.m., but some ads should simply never be seen. I guess I am going to agree to disagree on this one.

Nugget Two:
Here’s an article regarding attitudes of male office workers in South Korea about the attire of their female co-workers.

Almost three-quarters of South Korean male office workers feel uncomfortable when female colleagues show too much leg or cleavage in the workplace, a survey has revealed.¬† A poll of 1,254 employees by the job portal site CareerNet found that 74 percent of men felt upset with the attire of their female co-workers. Some 56 percent of them cited micro-miniskirts as their chief complaint, while 51 percent objected to excessive cleavage. Low-rise trousers that reveal women’s underwear, “killer heels” and flashy outfits were also cause for complaint.

Ummm, were these 74% gay??

Meanwhile, a similar number of male office workers in Japan indicated that they would prefer their female co-workers work in the nude while being violated by multi-tentacled anime creatures.  But really, who are we to judge either of these cultures and their ancient history of being really weird.

Nugget Three:
And lastly, and I know this is old, but this is one badass marijuana cave hideout.  And frankly worth looking at again.  Visions of Pineapple Express.

You gotta have a certain respect for criminals who go all out in their crime commitment.¬† Of course this could all could just be a misunderstanding over private hemp use.¬† And really, who couldn’t use an escape hatch from their house?

Merry Thanksgiving!

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 26, 2009

Yeah I know it is “Happy”, but screw it.¬† I am mixing things up.

This is one of the worst holidays for food.  There is almost nothing I like that will be served today, especially the turkey.  So, barley and hops will be my meal of champions!  Plus, we get a full afternoon of shitty football.  Neat!

But, I still want to give thanks to my family and friends.  Without their support, I would be nothing.

With that, I leave you with a few words from Sarah Palin:

C’mon, even Palin has to giggle at this one.

Bat Shit Crazy Angelina Jolie Just Got A Little Bit Hotter, But Is Still Bat Shit Crazy

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 26, 2009

I say bat shit crazy because I still can’t get over her making out with her brother.¬† Add that with the viles of blood with Billy Bob Thorton and, well, it is just weird.¬† And trashy.¬†¬†Hot trashyness……

Moving on.

Apparently Angelina isn’t a big fan of The Chosen One:

Barack Obama does not have Angelina Jolie’s seal of approval.

‚ÄúShe hates him,‚ÄĚ a source close to the U.N. goodwill ambassador, 34, tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).

‚ÄúShe‚Äôs into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise,‚ÄĚ adds the source‚Ķ

‚ÄúAngie isn‚Äôt Republican, but she thinks Obama is all smoke and mirrors,‚ÄĚ the source says.

Is this story true?  Who knows.  But her stance on the Iraq war was rather right leaning.  Plus, we know her father (Jon Voight) has been pretty vocal on the conservative side.  So we know the seeds are there.

American Heroes Charged With Giving Terrorist A Bloody Lip

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 25, 2009

Are you wondering what kind of terrorist? Well, a big enough terrorist that the military deemed it necessary to give him his own code-name: ‚ÄúObjectiveAmber‚ÄĚ. He was the douchebag behind the ambush of a supply (food) transport that resulted in the capture, torture and murder of four Blackwater Security agents. Their bodies were then burned and dragged through the streets while being further violated by cheering ‚Äúreligion of peace‚ÄĚ animals. Two of the bodies were then hung from a bridge where the media dutifully photographed and published the pictures for the world to see.

So, a tad bit worse than a fucking bloody lip.

Yet, here we are, charging three SEALS with basically that: a bloody lip:

The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment ‚ÄĒ called an admiral’s mast ‚ÄĒ and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors ‚ÄĒ and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), is facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.

Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2, is facing charges of dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement.

Petty Officer Julio Huertas, SO-1, faces those same charges and an additional charge of impediment of an investigation.

I guess loading up a few planes, slamming into few buildings, killing 3,000 people and you get all the due process rights of the civilian criminal justice system. But a bloody lip? Well, under the Obama administration that is more than enough to get you some rough and tumble military justice.

Or you could be a known muslim Army doctor preaching jihadist doctrine, communicating with al qaeda, corresponding with an associate of the 9/11 cabal and still get the benefit of the doubt than three Navy SEALS on the front line.

Embarrassing.

Although, on the other hand, perhaps there is more to this. While the bloody lip is the underlying factor here, the SEALS are also accused of making false statements or some other shenanigans impeding the ‚Äúinvestigation‚ÄĚ.

The Navy probably would have let this go without action if the SEALS did not do something to obstruct the investigation, or lie about something stupid. In reacting to the investigation, the SEALS may have panicked and fudged some facts, which were objectively false. Something the Marine Corps and the Navy consider much, much worse, than the underlying “offense”, if it even occurred. So what would have been nothing turned into something.

Like I said, there could be more to this. But as it stands, this shit is nickel and dime. And in the wake of what happened at Fort Hood, something is seriously wrong with our military on a certain level.

Network With All White Line-Up Calls Attention To “Largely White” Crowd At Palin Book Signing

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 24, 2009

When you can’t beat her at the game, I guess just cry racism?¬† Apparently so.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and¬†Norah O‚ÄôDonnell throw out¬†the race card against Sarah Palin and the enormous crowds at her book-signing events last week.¬† While in Michigan, O’Donnell could barely¬†make it through her live report, what with the nooses and burning crosses everywhere:

“This is a largely white — almost no minorities in this crowd,” reported MSNBC’s O’Donnell live from the scene.

Matthews reiterated, “Well, they look like a white crowd to me,” later claiming, “I think there is a tribal aspect to this thing, in other words, white vs. other people.”

Salon’s Joan Walsh¬†(who is white!!)¬†chimed in with:

“I think you`ve got that same kind of paranoid tea party, maybe even birther crowd that talks about the Constitution, without really understanding what they are talking about”¬†

I wonder if the crowds of people at Obama’s favorite church were noted as “largely black-almost no white people in this crowd”?¬† Yeah, me either.¬† But I digress……

So why don’t we check out the diverse line-up that is “The Place for Politics”:

Morning Joe – White
Morning Meeting – White
Dr. Nancy – White
Andrea Mitchell – White
The ED Show – White
Hardball – White
Countdown – White
Rachel Maddow – White

Mmmmm, now that is what I call a big slice of hypocrisy topped by a thick layer of creamy white icing.  So white, Michael Jackson and Sammy Sosa requested applications.

You know, I am beginning to get the sneaky¬†suspicion¬†that quite often the left vindictively imposes “rules” on others that it itself ignores.¬† Nah, that is just crazy talk……

Merry Veteran’s Day!!

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 11, 2009

Or is it Happy Veteran’s Day?¬† Either way, a big salute to all of our veterans, past and present.

A special salute to my grandpa, who passed away last year.  He served in the Navy during World War II, and participated in the invasion of Normandy Beach as a member of the amphibious assault boat crew.

I have not had the privilege to serve, a decision I often wonder the outcome if presented with it again 20 years ago.  But I have had friends, family, uncles and cousins serve in both peacetime and during war.  All had a wide variety of political views, but what it comes down to is they are all Americans.  Dedicated themselves to defending this nation in the best tradition of Americans.

Dead: John Muhammad

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 10, 2009

The D.C. Sniper was executed tonight by lethal injection.  It only took 7 years to kill him, which I guess is pretty quick.  They strapped him onto a cross-shaped table and juiced him up.  Time of death:  9:11 pm:

John Allen Muhammad, the mastermind behind the sniper attacks that left 10 dead, was executed Tuesday night as relatives of the victims watched, reliving the killing spree that terrorized the Washington metro area for three weeks in October 2002.

He looked calm and stoic, but was twitching and blinking as the injections began, defiant to the end, refusing to utter any final words. Victims’ families sat behind glass while watching the execution, separated from the rest of the 27 witnesses.

I can think of a few more interesting ways this guy should have been put down.¬† Anybody who has seen the movie American Me, knows what I am talking about¬†when I mention the¬†“christmas tree” knife scene.¬† Let’s just say, he wouldn’t be sitting down–in this life or the next.

But I personnally think this doucher should have gone out more like Nicky Santuro and his brother Dominick from the movie Casino.¬† With several people teeing off on him with metal baseballs bats, and then dumped into a dirt hole in some remote cornfield–still breathing.

Exit quote: “He basically watched my dad breathe his last breath. Why shouldn‚Äôt I watch his last breath?‚ÄĚ

Pro Football Political Donations: Where’s Your Team?

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 8, 2009

Well.¬† Yet another reason to hate the Eagles, Steelers and¬†Patriots.¬† Commie’s.

Somewhat surprisingly, the Chiefs are 84% non-commie.   On the other hand, the Chargers earned some goodwill (even if they are in AFC West) donating 98% to the Republican party.  Almost 4 times more than the next team, the Texans.

Some interesting notables:  The Saints, Giants, Jaguars and Jets all gave overwhelmingly to the Republicans despite having huge democratic constituencies.

And on¬†sort of an irony note.¬† The team¬†pursued by Rush Limbaugh’s buying group, donated 98% to the democrats.¬† Heh.

Oh, and the NFL as a whole?  70% commie.

Of course, coaches and players give money as well.¬† Norv Turner gave $2,500 to McCain’s Presidential campaign and Andy Reid donated money to Mitt Romney.¬† Players Todd Heap, Ryan Denney, Derrik Brooks and Byron Leftwich also donated to Republican candidates.

And a guy who moved up a notch in my book is Peyton Manning.¬† He, as well as his wife, gave $2,500 to presidential candidate and Senator Fred Thompson.¬† Peyton also gave $2,000 to W’s 2004 re-election campain.¬† So now Manning is at notch one.¬† But it’s a start…

Incidentally, no one really cares about this basket-case organization, but Al Davis is as good a political theorist as he is an owner.

Stretch McBotox PelosiCare Passes

Posted by TheJOTUS on November 8, 2009

It squeaked by with 220 Ayes to 215 Nays… 218 being the bare minimum needed for passage.

The bill stalled out until Pelosi was forced to allow a vote on the Stupak Amendment, which stripped funding for abortions from the bill (possibly); that amendment prevailed by 240-194 ‚ÄĒ much stronger support than for PelosiCare itself.

Although, every cloud has a silver lining I guess.  The bright spot of this bill was that out of 177 Republicans voting (I think that’s all of them), the total number who voted for McBotoxCare was… one: Rep. Joseph Cao.  By contrast, 39 Democrats voted against the bill, with 219 in favor, of course.

This basically means the RINO defecors did not give the democrats the victory.  It still would have passed without the vote from Cao.  Or rather, sacred Cao.

Amusingly, one Democrat who voted for the bill was newly elected NY Rep. Bill Owens (Tuesday election)… despite the fact that the bill contains numerous provisions that Owens swore during his election campaign he would never support. It took Owens a little over eleven hours to toss those promises into the garbage bin of liberalism.

Hey New York, exactly how does Bill Owens ass taste?

So what does this mean?  Well for now, we grieve I guess.  I leave you with Chocolate Bunny Death Kill.

It’s a metaphor……
